Have you lot ever realised that when you play online wifi battles and they turn your pokemon to lv 50 their stats get reduced. What i mean is sometimes you might capture a pokemon at level 45 with an attack amounting to 125 by the time it reaches lv 50. Then when that pokemon reaches lv 100 its attack might be 300. However the automatic thing sets your pokemons attack to the way it was when it was lv 50 which is 125 instead of halfing its attck from when it was at lv 100 making it's attack 150. So basically your pokemon's stats might be lower than you'd expect. Because thats happened to me, instead of my pokemon's stats being 150 for example it would be 125, which is annoying becuase initially your pokemon seem weaker than they are resulting inyou losing matches. Therefore you could capture a pokemon and E.V it so that it has higher than half you stat at level 50 than it would have when being halfed at lv 100.

The way the stats are lowered is simply substituting the level in the stat formula for 50, for example a Shuckle with 31 ivs and 252 evs and a neutral nature in defence would have these defence stats at each level:

Level 50 = ((31+(2x220)+(252/4))x50)/100)+5 =272

Level 100 = ((31+(2x220)+(252/4))x50)/100)+5 = 539

And 539 is not twice 272, which is why even though you have the same ivs and evs, your stats may appear unfairly adapted. The thing is, as long as all stats are adapted in the same way no side comes off worse off. To put it simply, if your stats are 30 and there's is 60 it doesn't matter whether you change this to 15&30 or 10&20, it's still the same ratio

Okay, so umm.................
Basically suppose if you catch a pokemon at level 50 its stats might not be what it was like at lv 50 but the way you tarined it, those stat increases and gradual stat increase will somehow be incorporated into that formula and your stats will be at what it would be at iof it increased bu that certain amount each level.

It'd be like if we caught that shuckle again, say we caught it at level 50 with no evs because we haven't trained it, you go online and it's defence would be 240, however if you now got it to level 100 and fully ev trained in defence it would have 272 when brought back down to level 50, so it's not making training useless, it's just making it so you don't need to raise a team of 6 level 100s to go online.

Oooh okay i get it now, so it's basically if its not level 100 it would have 240 defence, what it had at lv 50, but if you train it, with EV'S, IV'S and nature's and get it to level 100 then when it's transfered to level 50 it would have the 272 defence because of all the training etc. Heh thanks, cos that was really annoying me.
