Where do you get your music?

Simple question really, where do you get your music from? Streaming services like internet radio, pandora or Spotify? CDs? iTunes store? Amazon mp3? Anywhere else?

CDs and Spotify mainly, although I do occasionally use iTunes.

Wolstenholme

The good old fashioned CD. I like all the added extras you get with CDs, The case, booklet, the ability to play it in your car & other places etc.

I buy pretty much all of my music on iTunes. =)

My laptop reaaaaaally doesn't like using iTunes or Spotify... scrolling through webpages makes iTunes skip really badly through songs, and Spotify crashes far too often to be usable for me.

Sooooo I use last.fm for music nowadays. I very rarely get adverts and it's a perfect way to make me listen to stuff that I promised myself I'd try. And it has some really obscure stuff I haven't listened to before (like Saint Vox) because it's generally unavailable to me. The app is pretty awful though, it looks ugly as hell and doesn't do as much as I'd like it to which is why I'm not paying to play music on my tablet through it. I'll just add music from my iTunes to it and listen to that instead.

When buying music I prefer to buy CDs rather than digital downloads (and I'm starting to appreciate vinyl, having paid to have Theatre Is Evil across 4 different vinyls). There's just something about physically owning an album that makes me feel better than just having a digital copy.

"i hope you get niall bursting out of a tower cake singing "happy birthday mr president" and he's wearing a "miss america 2013" sash while giving you a 3 hour lapdance"

lets all go out for some frosty chocolate milkshakes

a lot of the stuff i listen to now is free??? luckily a lot of the stuff i like now is on bandcamp or was released on a now defunct netlabel (the day i stumbled upon monotonik for instance) so its gr8 cos theres not so much faffing about trying to locate stuff and its usually avaliable

occasionally i happen upon a good radio show series which does a whole bunch of random decent music w/ links (i.e. Malty Media's radio shows ughhhh i wish they were still doing them) and im currently working off a backlog of music from them still????
also the Music Alliance Pact they're neat (monthly international music blog collaboration albums, hipster cred in droves)

well that was my musicfinding story thank you for listening
