Another strange Pokedex entry would have to be Regice's in Emerald, which states that its body is made of Antarctic Ice. I believe this is not the only real-world reference in the Pokedex, wasn't there something about Raichu being able to paralyze an Elephant in the original Red and Blue?

Apparently Lickitung's tongue can be extended like Chameleons... Oh and Gastly can envelop an entire Indian Elephant in 2 seconds according to the FireRed version of the Pokedex.
