In X and Y we have the new adorable puffball, Espurr. But look into its eyes. It hardly blinks.

Look at the Pokedex entry.

If the Psychic force sheltered by those ears is leaked, it will eradicate anything within a three hundred mile radius. But why does it look so evil? If it were as evil and the eyes suggest, wouldn't it just want to destroy humanity (because that's just how damn creepy them eyes are)? Or is it keeping that energy enclosed because it is helping us?

This could explain why Espurr makes an angry face if you touch it on the ear in Pokemon - Amie.

So is Espurr evil or good? Is he trying to destroy us or save us? You decide.

Well it's the restraint Pokemon, so I'm guessing it kind of answers the question. It is obviously trying not to obliterate everything within a 300 mile radius, at least in the short-term. But you're right, that look in its eyes is certainly something to be concerned about =/

1. Hold out a Poképuff in front of Espurr.
2. Toss it into the air. Don't catch it.
3. Watch as you learn who is truely evil.

Espurr - Pokemon Amie

Go to the 1:00 point for that. His face doesn't actually change.

Actually I'm MORE afraid of Quilladin. I keep picturing the Billy dummy from the SAW movies and it fiddling with a knife as it watches you sleep. The look it has creeps me out SOOOOO much. I can't even look at it without cringing. I keep thinking Quilladin will probably stab you in your sleep with that creepy smile it has.

I love Espurr and Meowstic. Espurr is amazingly full of expression for a completely expressionless Pokemon.

So far I'm enjoying the internet popularity of one of my new favorites but I haven't been exposed to that much of it yet so it'll probably wear thin soon.

Seconding this. The only reason the internet is soaking itself over Espurr is because it's a bloody cat.

Still would rather have an Espurr than a Quilladin....

Quilladin is an ally of the revolution. You will fall sooner than others for your insolence.

In my superior opinion, Espurr is a fascinating source of alternate energy. The lifting of its ears could power our invasion for a millennium.

Though even I fear what the mind that lies behind those haunting eyes may contain...

The reason I'd rather have Espurr than Quilladin is because of that creepy smile the latter has. It's like the one Fred the Creepy Barber from Courage the Cowardly Dog has!

Eh, I think espurr is probably my least favourite of this gen. Well, except Diggersby, but y'know... It's Diggersby xD

I really like Meowstic though - but espurr's plain ugly =\

I used to think it was both. After seeing these I think it's more creepy than anything else.
