Made some chocolate and banana brownies today.
They're, um..  interesting. Think perhaps they could have done with less banana, as that's all you can actually taste, and it's very stodgy. Ah well.

Trying to make healthy cakes that don't taste awful is hard gosh darn it.

^Chocolate banana bread is pretty awesome though!!

This sums up how I feel about my brownies:

Spend so long eating the batter all I wanna do is taunt people with them

Well did she make you cry? Make you break down?
Shatter your illusions of love?
And is it over now? Do you know how
To pick up the pieces and go home?

^I dunno what I prefer, the obligatory tasting of the batter or the finished product.

That Girl in the 'Roo Suit

They're both pretty good. I like the texture of the baked goods, but I cant help myself because cake batter it so darn amazing

^Lottie, let me just say that you look a lot like my mom when she was younger in that picture. Sad part is I took out a photo to compare. Hope you don't take offense. My life..... :/

I need to make more banana bread.

In my pre-interview panic, I baked this:

It's not /the/ apple cake I found, but another one from the BBC Good Food site.. We had it for breakfast this morning and there is one lonely slice left

^made me start baking when I saw this on FB, lol. I made a fruit bread but I didn't take a picture before I ate it all :B

Edit:
Made a madeira cake with caramel glaze today :D And took a picture before I annihilated it this time!

(Wanted to make doughnuts a la Bake-off but lacked the vegetable oil to fry them.)

I can't bake to save my life so I find everyone who can really impressive and grown up.

 Guyssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Someone brought in home made Oreo Cupcakes the other day and they were probably one of the nicest things ever.

Imagine eating a piece of heaven.

So to celebrate the finale of Great British Bake Off my friends and I all threw a cake party to watch the final episode. It was a pretty sweet night (pun intended) and I made three dozen oat cookies:

Other cakes by other people included Victoria sponge, apple and cinnamon, two different takes on the humble brownie and a Norwegian cake :D

SirBlaziken

^They look amazing I must say.

I made some biscuits (american definition of biscuit) in class a couple weeks back. They were dry, even though we followed the recipe. :/

We had a ostgrad party last wednesday. I was the only postgrad not currently studying, so because I tagged along anyway (read: the lecturers all invited me anyway) I felt it was necessary to bake a cake.

Normal vanilla sponge, with bright blue honey-buttercream icing and raspberry/strawberry topping.
