Yeah, Shadow Ball is also your best bet against Metagross without HP Fire... although you still get raped by Bullet Punch.

Webby

Dan, I'd appreciate it if you didn't use the term "raped".

Quote from: from the Teambuilding Sticky# Do not use term 'rape,' regardless of how you define it. Language such as "Soso rapes soso with move1" is not appreciated at all and we do not want to see it being used at all. This is still a +3 website.

We may not be a 3+ site now, but the point still stands.

"i hope you get niall bursting out of a tower cake singing "happy birthday mr president" and he's wearing a "miss america 2013" sash while giving you a 3 hour lapdance"

348 Atk vs 203 Def & 302 HP (80 Base Power): 99 - 117 (32.78% - 38.74%)
348 Atk vs 135 Def & 302 HP (80 Base Power): 148 - 175 (49.01% - 57.95%) (If Shadow Ball gets it's -1)

Metagross 2HKOs with a Choice Band - 607 Atk vs 139 Def & 261 HP (40 Base Power): 187 - 222 (71.65% - 85.06%) - so I can see what you mean there. Only thing is, would I be leaving him in.. meh, haha.

Thanks for the advice mate. =]

I meant Meteor Mash + Bullet Punch, but yeah. Most lead Metagross carry Lum Berry specifically for Roserade and Smeargle :) And Webby why don't you contribute something instead of pulling me up on every little thing I post. It makes you look anal. Oh wait.

Yeah, lets tone it down a little. You know it's not allowed here, don't blame Webby for doing his job. =/

Hahex and Oshawott

Just hatched about a couple of hours ago, didn't run it through the calculator straight away cause i wanted to hatch the rest.

Skarmory, Impish, Lv.5 - HP: 22 (19/0) | Atk: 13 (9/0) | Def: 22 (25/0) | Sp.Atk: 8 (9/0) | Sp.Def: 13 (25/0) | Spd: 12 (9/0) | Hidden Power: 30, DARK | Format: stat (IV/EP)

I may update this once i level this thing up a bit.

Laprabi

^Those aren't really very good IVs. =P
hahahahahahaha

You should really use Metalkid's calculator, that one is insanely hard to read. YOU CANT SILENCE MEEEEEEEEEE

Hahex and Oshawott

Skarmory - #227 (Impish): 16 - 28 / 3 - 14 / 20 - 31 / 8 - 19 / 10 - 22 / 10 - 22

OK, I used metalkid's calculator. It's got good ivs in defence and hp and that's all I ask for really. I mean, it's just battle tower I'm training it for.

Dandelion

Level it up a bit before determining IVs, or do a Wifi battle with someone and check its stats at Lv. 100. That way, you can be more certain about what the IVs are rather than having "20-31", etc. Its Def and HP IVs might not be as good as you hope.

Just because he wins.
Full stop.
Yes.

p.s. We always Leave out poor Metagross, whom I'm still not sure covets a Non Legandary Úber pokémon at any rate

Here are two of the Magikarps I just bred, including the one I'm going to use:

Magikarp - #129 (Jolly): 31 / 30 - 31 / 22 - 23 / 24 - 25 / 17 / 31
Magikarp - #129 (Jolly): 31 / 30 - 31 / 10 - 11 / 0 / 27 - 28 / 27

I'm using the first one, but what about the last one? Is there a use for it?

Also, I have a load of others with 31 in various stats, mostly HP and Attack.

EDIT: Guess what I just got:

Munchlax - #446 (Relaxed): 26 - 29 / 30 / 30 / 0 / 30 / 1

Oh yeah.
hahahahahahaha

Been playing a lot of NU recently, this is a fun lead with Purugly's trolly 112 base speed:

Limber/Thick Fat
Jolly Nature [+Spd -SAtk]
IVs: 31 / 31 / 31 / 27 / 31 / 31
UT at lvl 9 (Glameow)
Fake Out | U-Turn | Super Fang | Taunt

Hatch Location: Contest Hall

MadassAlex

A Charmander I hatched a few days ago got this

+ Attack
- Special Attack
+ Special Attack

overall.

So it essentially benefits from Charizard's usual exceptional Special Attack while also having a higher-than-average Attack. Not as good as extra Speed, perhaps, but having the flexibility to rely on contact or non-contact attacks is great.

Laprabi

^Mind explaining exactly what that means?
hahahahahahaha

MadassAlex

Ah.

I'm not exactly an expert (or even well-versed) on much metagame-related, but I'll try.

My Pokemon's nature, apparently, draws it towards having a higher Attack and lower Special Attack than usual. Its behavioural trait gives it a boost to Special Attack, though. So the nature and trait cancel eachother to a degree, essentially giving my Pokemon a boost to Attack without any drawback.

The extra attack is great because it gives me a wider range of moves to choose from when it comes to decking out the Pokemon and thus more options in-battle.
