88. It is hopelessly confusing. However I'm glad I'm not doing Spanish any more as there are different endings for words depending on who they are about/directed to.

quack98

89, quite a lot of languages are like that, French, Russian and Romanian all are.

Mr. Apple

91. As do I, it's too boring. Romanian is the best.

Wolstenholme

92. Its boring yet out of every language English has the most words. That's one for the random facts topic.

If I suddenly cut off it's because its stormy and well have had a powercut.

quack98

94. Yeah, but no matter how many words it has, 'my name is' is never going to sound as good as:

Romanian: Eu sunt numit
Russian: menya zovoot
French: Je m'appelle
Etc...

Probably just because we use English so often it seems boring...

Wolstenholme

95. I love storms. The North seem to get more of them than the south do too.

96. I always liked English, mainly because I sucked so much at most "academic" subjects, like science and maths. The subjects I did best in were all essay based. But, yeah, the English language is pretty stupid. Every rule seems to have, like, a million exceptions.

Dammit, sniped.

I don't see why we have rules when there's more exceptions than there are things that actually follow it  :o

Wolstenholme

98  Do you live down south then, Dick?

quack98

99, Nah, in Darlington (near Newcastle), but we haven't had a storm in years

Wolstenholme

100. We get them quite a bit but I'm in Nottinghamshire.

quack98

101. Ooh just checked my weather app and apparently I'm due a storm in an hour :tongue2: weather forecast is usually wrong though.

lugia95

102. So, I guess everywhere is due worse weather? Good, that'll make it a lot easier to convince my mum to drive me to the cinema. She has a thing about not going to the cinema when it's sunny.

103. What you wanting to go and see?
