Random Randomness / Re: Christmas 2025

Last post by wilbie - December 26, 2025, 10:32

merry christmas, drampardon! and get well soon!

i don't/didn't have any plans for the day either, at least not any special ones! family/friend gatherings, gift exchanging, mall shops playing mariah carey etc... is a part of the package deal when it comes to christmas hahaha - i guess you gotta make something happen yourself if you want something to happen! for me, the festivities are more than enough to fill up my roster, so with some board games and a sizable ham, the fun never ends.....

generally, i don't pay too much mind to christmas, but the new year around the corner has me a lot more hopeful, though! i get a great opportunity to reflect upon my year and prepare for the next, and it feels enjoyable beyond the moment. i've done quite a lot this year, by my standards, so it's exciting for sure to look to the future. i hope 2026 brings everyone the things they want (and i'm not talking about christmas presents)!

^THREE Shiny Scream Tails? Any reason for that number, specifically? Either way, good luck!

Speaking of shiny luck, has anyone been playing Legends: Z-A? It's not like I've been playing it day in and day out (Lately, anyway. I'm not even halfway through the DLC yet, but yeah the main game's more or less beat, lol) but I have yet to see a wild shiny anything! Well, there was that freebie, so of course I caught THAT, but freebies don't count!

Not so much complaining (since it's not like I've been hunting for any specific shiny, either) as much as a bit surprised. Did they go back to like, pre-3D games' odds or something, or is my luck just that bad this time around? Haven't really been grinding for the Shiny Charm, either; I'm mostly just playing for leisure while trying to advance the DLC's plot as I'm able, at this point.

EDIT: Just wandering through a wild zone when I ran across a shiny Houndour! Which I then caught!!

Random Randomness / Christmas 2025

Last post by DrampardonMe - December 24, 2025, 17:49

Anyone got any good plans for the season? I realize it's Christmas Eve at time of post*, but I meant to ask this much sooner. It's just been a busy last few months for me in general, and I'm in the middle of... a coarse throat, whatever's going on! I think it's just a cold, lol

As for me, didn't really set up any plans in advance, so even if I wasn't sick, I doubt I'd do much this year, anyway. For what it's worth, I started a silly parody of A Christmas Carol, but I doubt it'll be done in time for Christmas...

Anyway, I hope December has treated you all well! And, uh, here's to 2026 hopefully being cool, too!

*so I don't seriously expect any replies until after Christmas Day, but hey, not gonna complain if someone responds sooner!

General Pokémon Discussion / Re: Arceus Questions

Fairy type was added, and Fairy types are immune to Dragons

fairy types weren't in the game when they posted in april 2013 - fairy types were officially released october 2013.

also holy necropost, batman :p

dragon types were pretty unique but in the modern day, the best offensive types in Ubers, at least for Arceus, are Fairy, Normal and Ground.

fairy and ground cover miraidon and koraidon as well as being incredible monotypes. normal has arceus' specialty, Swords Dance + STAB Extreme Speed off a mon both strong and extremely bulky for an offensive mon - extra boost from the plate too. but you risk being just a tad more predictable in that regard.

I sometimes call Bulbasaur 'Bubbasaur', Giratina 'Jeer-a-tina', Misdreavus 'Mis-dree-vus', and I have heard people call Charizard 'Charzard' and Gardevoir 'Gardevore'

On Pokemon Scarlet, I am looking for three shiny Scream Tails. I also really want a shiny Zygarde from Pokemon Sword that I can put into Legends ZA when it becomes Home compatible
