I shake my head at the boy with the staff.  "Fire in a forest is foolish anyway.  No matter how skilled a pyromancer you may be, young man, trapping yourself in an inferno of trees is not a wise tactic."

I smile at the night warlock.  "Am I not allowed to gain some knowledge of what I might be up against?  Not all of us have affinities for divination."  The tone of my voice becomes cyptic and cold.  "Besides, from the scars I've seen so far in Equinox, it's fair to say that one can not be too careful here.  Don't you agree, Nikolai?"

\\Urgh. She hasn't answered either of my questions, and instead is trying to ask me some... I don't think I like this woman.\\

"Answer the questions. Unless you wish to be referred to as 'lady' I suggest you tell us who you are?"

"I know that, plus, I can put flames out at will. We wouldn't die. I wouldn't blast you anyways. I'm not stupid. Also yes, who are you anyways?"

"I've been called worse.  Not many take to kindly to our kind." 

I lighten my voice just a little; I can sense frustration from this Nikolai, but it's faint.  "If you want formality, then you may call me Siofra.  Take what you will from it."

"Alright, now that that is settled, lets go into the city."

I chuckle.  "My, aren't you quick to drop the issue?  I suppose you haven't been out much, have you?"

"Wait." I say rather abruptly. After a short pause, I begin to speak again, in a very demanding tone. "Why we're you spying on us, Siofra?" I draw myself up to my full height, in an effort to intimidate her, likely to no avail.

[SirBlaziken]

"Not really, no. Well especially since-" I abruptly stop there because it's too painful to continue.

I look up at Nikolai and raise and eyebrow.  I don't hide the fact that I'm amused.

"Didn't I already tell you?  I was, to put it bluntly, sizing up the competition.  Like I said, there are signs of hostility in this city and I simply do not wish to be blind to who - or what - I may have to fight, should I need to."

"So you spy on whoever you wish? Believing you're justified because you're eyeing up the competition? People like you are the reason I can't fully trust a day warlock!" I say in a very cold tone.

\\I know I shouldn't get off on the wrong foot, but really, she is... Urgh, words can't even describe her right now...\\

//Hmmm.... She may have an ulterior motive. I must investigate, but I can't tell Siofra.//

"Alright, drop it, I'll find out more as we go. She may have an ulterior motive." I whisper to Nikolai.

[Private Delano Donut]

Rebbekah, being one of the many homeless youths in Equinox, was walking the street in the windless morning when a man suddenly cried out in surprise. Being only mildly disturbed by this, she turned to watch him chase after his hat down the walk. From her place under the overhang of a nearby building, she too began to snicker at his shenanigans. It seemed she wasn't the only one, laughing, though.

//I wonder who that jerk is. Laughing at the poor man, what a mean boy.// She thought sarcastically with a wide grin.

"I think we should head into the city before things get out of hand." I say, worried that a conflict will arise.

I glare at Siofra, before turning to Edan.

"Yes, of course, follow me"

I walk off, down a side street.
