Things in pokemon that don't make sense!

Pokemon is full of stuff that don't make sense. Can we list them all? Only 1-3 things please!

1) Scyther has wings, but can't learn fly.
2) doduo and dodrio don't have wings, but can learn fly.
3) why can't Latias and latios breed?

Though saying that, Nidoking and Nidoqueen can't breed either, and they aren't all related to each other.

There are many mysteries surrounding the Pokemon world. For example, all Nurse Joys look and sound exactly the same, all Officer Jennys too. Are they all clones?

I'm pretty sure there was an explanation along the lines of the climate/temperature on land makes Manaphy produce Phione eggs instead of Manaphy ones.

Slightly related: Sometimes I think we forget these things are MONSTERS and thus run on their own system of logic (at least, it's the best explanation I can think of). It's why we can have Magcargo have an impossibly high internal temperature and not decimate life on Earth, or why Wailord only weighs around 800 lbs. while being that huge without also being made of styrofoam. My interest in these factoids lies not in their credibilty when compared to real-world logic, mainly just the "cool factor". Though I do admit it makes me wonder what'd make such things possible, if not plausible, in our own world.

Horsea and its evolutions get Octozooka and they're based on sea horses so you statement is pretty much invalid. Squids do produce ink and Inkay and Malamar can breed with Octillery.

Or rather, as has been stated before in a webcomic i read somewhere, the only reason the dex entries make no sense is because the professors hired a bunch of hyperactive kids instead of professional researchers.
