As I'm studying World War I in history right now, I can confirm Chlo is right about the assassination of Franz being what sparked the war. WWII however I can't really remember what started it, but I am thirteen and a lazy bugger.

38. I think it's unfair to say WW2 started from that one event, it was more a build up of events.

The treaty of Versailles was much to strict on Germany, hence crashing there economy and so they were living in pretty dire conditions. Looking for a scapegoat to blame for their strife, they accepted Hitler's idea of it being the Jews fault, despite him having little good reasoning for it. They then broke the treaty of Versailles which already had Britain, France & America to an extent ready to leap on them, Poland was just the spark.

I would argue that the bullet that shot Franz Ferdinand started both wars
