One last question that you've mentioned for challengers but not for leaders themselves...can gym leaders change teams between challengers? I'd assume if the answer was yes, gym leaders would have to keep 2 pokemon the same but they would be able to change the other four.

Your gym team can change as much as you like, because otherwise you'll get people challenging, losing, making a team with a perfect counter to each of yours, then challenging again and winning. Although, ah ought IVs had, and I don't know what others make of it, but what would you think of gyms having their sort of 'signature pokemon' (like Lt. Surge's Raichu, Jasmine's Steelix, Richard's Blaziken)

I've added it to the starter post, and it looks fine, so you're good to start whenever you've got your team sorted (unless someone has a complaint about the bans, but I don't see why they should)
