Mega Salamence being discussed for quickban

In a move that should surprise all of 0 people, Mega Salamence is being discussed for a quickban. It's absurdly, ridiculously broken and will be banned very quickly. I've done many calcs for it, and can assure you, there's no way it will remain OU.

Should be quickbanned purely because it can smash through with Attack, Special Attack and that bulk. Aerialite helps it so much too. Pretty much the only thing you won't want to leave it in with is a special ice Pokémon but even then it's speed and diverse movepool gives it a good advantage against revenge killers too.

I have checked a couple of data, and unless you are very lucky whilst using HP Ice Bronzong, virtually nothing can counter Salamence. Check? Hard as well, especially if it has set up with Dragon Dance or Ominous Wind (?), meaning that it is overcentralising; no one likes to carry three Scarfers and two Priority users at the same time.

Honestly, I looked over its stats and I hope it's banned. That speed and power together is going to be an uphill battle to stop in OU, if it even can be stopped. Meanwhile, i'm still waiting on multiple psychic mega and the m-pinsir ban.

With the Intimidate it doesn't, think it's a 2HKO without that thoug. Could be wrong. Either way it's outrageous bulk.

The fact it can switch in, DD and sweep is another problem, with one DD it outspeeds the majority of scarfers and the ones it doesn't aren't strong enough to do anything.

The only thing that sonewhat halts it is Mega Slowbro but even then if it's running DD sub it can easily beat it too.

DD, Sub, Roost, Return is standard and it doesn't even worry about resistances to Flying. I think that alone pretty much says it all.

Probably would fair better if Mega Rayquaza wasn't a thing giving it so much competition, but I think it'll be a solid Mega in Uber. It's still got immense power and a lot of options. I could see something like DD, Double-Edge, Roost, Outrage/Sub/Steel killer move being popular-ish. But I mean... Mega Rayquaza.

Honestly, Mega Mence will do pretty well in Ubers with that kind of power and bulk imo. Mamoswine without intimidate drop is maybe a 2hko. This is why you keep your Stealth Rocks down kids.

What I'm saying is, MegaMence won't be used much by virtue of Mega Rayquaza taking the Mega slot.

Oops, you are right. However, if I have to see a niche for Mega Salamence against Mega Rayquaza is that it can force shenanigans before and after Mega Evolving. If that is not enough for you, the Mega Evolved forme is faster, and this is why it was used with Rayquaza (Moxie, pls). Nevertheless, if the leaks are right and Mega Rayquaza can carry an item, then Mega Salamence will likely not be used.

Mega Rayquaza can carry an item, there's no issue as to whether that can happen. Mega Salamence won't be on par with Mega Rayquaza, even with Aerilate Double Edge. Rayquaza has a much better ability, don't forget. Delta Stream is one magnificent ability, especially with 105 / 100 / 100 defenses.
