For those two, nobody really uses Metal Burst Aggron, and Greninja is handled easily by other teammates, if Salamence has a Substitute up or if it has a Dragon Dance boost.

Otherwise, not really much to stop it with.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Just because a Pokemon can be beaten doesn't mean it's not broken. Salamence will be banned, because it is broken. Just because random insignificant Pokemon can sometimes beat it (might be tough switching Aggron into Stealth Rock and taking a +1 Earthquake), doesn't mean it should stay in OU.

But this niche is so tiny it can not be used in many other ways, not to say Sturdy is broken with Hazards or Indirect damage.

My solution: Not waste our time discussing niche pokemon that can sometimes beat Mega Mence and just agree that it's broken.

Plus these niche pokemon usually need so much support that it's better to just use something else.

To be a counter you need to be able to switch into ANY commonly used move, and either OHKO it before it hits you, or take a hit and OHKO it (or beat it before it beats you).

Aggron, therefore, is not a counter. It can't switch into any offensive move as it breaks sturdy, it has to perfectly predict a dragon dance. Even then, Salamence can just switch or use a weaker move to break sturdy without taking too much from Metal Burst.

Greninja, likewise, cannot switch in at all. Like, /at all/. Any move will do colossal damage, and dragon dance will cause Mence to outspeed.

The only thing that's coming close to countering is like Bronzong, but even then it doesn't exactly do much and is a rare site in OU.
