How do I breed?

I think you put two Pokemon that are compatible and opposite genders in daycare together. EG Zigzagoon male and Zigzagoon female can breed together.

I'm not sure though!

Yeah, any Pokemon in the same egg group can breed. Not just Pokemon of the same species and opposite gender.

As well as compatibility, it's dependent on how many steps you take rather than a particular amount of time.

Actually, I used cheat codes to warp to the daycare building then warped to the town with my dad's gym then beat the rock type gym I'm sure by the time I get back to the daycare, I'll have an egg.

Now breeding my two Caterpies in crystal, they are "friendly with each other. Wonder what I'll get.
