I can't wait! The monsters in this episode are called the apidose. Sarah Lancashire plays Miss Foster, an evil nanny, in this ep. I'll try to get a picture of the apidose.

weird one

-possessed by Bananahat-

Suitably silly and just the sort of light-hearted "threat" typical of Doctor Who.

...Ok, that's out of my system.

Impressions? Crap, but I don't mind Donna now. She's actually pretty entertaining. :3

Brilliant. And I was amazed how many 'blissfully unaware' moments there were during that episode. Not going to spoil it so, the 'Bin Moment' seriously, WUT happened? I have a feeling we're going to find out.

Pretty good start. The only complain was the aliens look like rejects from a CBeebies show, but still.

Liked how the Doctor and Donna's paths came together. Seems Donna won't be bad for a companion. Next week's ep looks decent. :)

Wheeeee!

Ahhh, that was fantastic, as Nine would say.

Really enjoyed that episode, re-introduced Donna well. It was one of the better series-openers, on a par with last year's, I think. Judoon Platoon.. on the mooon.. Yeah.

Miss Foster was an excellent 'villain', Sarah Lancashire played her wonderfully, she seemed to be enjoying it. The adipose looked 'cute' and Cbeebies-esque, sure, but wasn't that the point? They weren't meant to be threatening. It was a light, fun episode.

Yeah, more on that. There were some great 'comedy moments', like the mouthed conversation through the windows, and the shot pulling out to reveal everyone in the office watching. And Miss Foster's Looney Tunes style death was fun. Oh, and Grandad Wilf, he was played brilliantly by Bernard Cribbins, especially in the closing moments as they flew off - and he clearly recognised The Doctor from Voyage of the Damned.

Great stuff.

Oh, and..

Rose!!!!!

We all knew she was coming back, but who expected her that early? Why'd she look so sad.. and, wow, she can fade in and out!

Fantastic. 8/10.

tbh I thought it was rubbish =P

All just a bit boring, boring villain, plot that lacked entertainment, and Catherine Tate more annoying than ever.

I actually got bored and did something else =P Which is unusual because I normally am a big doctor who fan =P

and whats with the tardis flying around and stuff and the door opening..pfft that should never actually happen....this is where they start to change and ruin doctor who imo.

but,ya know, all a matter of opinion

I didn't think it was fantastic either...

They're running out of plot ideas.

Remember that this was a first episode, concerned with establishing relationships and setting up arcs for the remainder of the series.

The plot in this episode is secondary to that. I think we can expect fantastic plot ideas this series.

(especially with a Moffat two-parter! :D)
