I laughed at how Scotland was now excluded, even though the Union flag had the Andrew blue on it and the map of the country had Scotland on it.

Same here. I got the joke because we all know how Scotland is obsessed with Independence.

I'm hoping, at some point during this series, that someone says, 'I'll explain later'.

don't worry, next episode looks set to have dalek bumps at least.

speaking of which [yes]
I'm not really sure why but after seeing the "next time" trailer for series 3, I really want to get a WWII Dalek propaganda poster. Or.. something.
Nearly as much as I want a "vote saxon" or similar poster.

Oi, Churchill! XD

Not bad, but it felt a bit weak. It needed to be a 2 parter as I felt it was like that, only squished into one. Part one should of been the build up, with the Daleks turning on the humans near the end and the redesigns as the cliffhanger.

Which brings me to the "new" Daleks, they look a bit too bright coloured and reminded me of Smarties/M and M's XD Plus the heads look a bit small, need to be larger. Can't say I'm a fan of these redesigned Daleks as it were. Still, interesting to note Amy never heard of em when their invasions are pretty hard to miss XD

This is what I worried about, we were spoilt by the brilliant Moffat, which could effect the other writers's stories.

Oh well, good ol' Angels next week

..you don't happen to have an A1-sized printer i could borrow do you?

Would this help at all?

Anyway, I really do wish Amy had asked him for a quote on car insurance, but oh well.

Also, the next Weeping Angel one looks better than the first, in that they don't know WHICH statue is the Weeping Angel among all of them. It's easy to say "Watch the statues", it becomes a lot harder when you don't know which one to be looking at!

O: nifty
ta

so many marriage proposals to make, so little time

i mean
tonight's episode! yes.
..I prefer the old.. brown.. daleks. khaki ones, too.
I'm sure they'll grow on me. But my first thought was "they have massive arses".
tiny heads and massive arses. And power ranger colours.

and i was so very expecting churchill to say "Oh yes" at one point
would have been too easy

overall.. didn't enjoy as much as the last two.
got a bit star wars in the middle there o.o
but daleks, so yay
and bracewell made me laugh, with his.. androidness. Maybe i wasn't supposed to laugh

and.. i was expecting a two parter, too, so I guess it did feel rushed.
Suppose they have to follow the new-companion format of [ep1] meet companion [ep2] companion goes forward/backward in time [ep3] companion goes backward/forward in time [ep4+5] two parter

..or something

so.. yes!
weeping angels.. and we finally might find out a bit more about river song, ahur.
just wondering how they're going to handle the.. the first time he met her, she didn't seem to notice he later regenerated, ahur.

also I like how.. with "i can't remember the daleks" [intriiguing] and.. blowing up the old ones.. new tardis, sonic screwdriver, doctor, companion.. slooowly erasing the rtd era
forgetting the daleks mystery did remind me of "LAST FOUR SERIES NEVER HAPPENED IT WAS ALL A DREAM", so made me laugh.
though we all know that the 2005+ series are just dreams had by the lumley doctor, as moffat planned

..wonder who will be the new master
:c

A good episode, I must say! Although it felt a bit rushed. If it were 60 minutes long, it'd be fabulously paced.

Unsure of the Dalux (Dulux/Dalek), though. Their shape is a bit off around the back. But it's a nice throwback to the older Daleks.

Liking the idea of WWII London, and the Dalek Technology!Spitfire was cool! Also, I thought for a moment that they were going to transmit a huge spotlight on London rather than turning on the lights from orbit!

Also, easy way to solve the lights problems; tell the Londoners to smash every light they could find! Expensive, but a solution nonetheless!

Weeping angels...I hope they're still as scary as they were in their first appearance...let's see, shall we?

I would have liked a two parter for this episode but with the Master Race getting away it opens up whole new possibilities. The cracks aswell are probably for the void, which means if the walls are collapsing then the 10th doctor could come back in a two doctors episode. Although thats just my imagination talking.

Would be a cool idea, everyone loved David Tennant.

I just loved this one, was brilliant. It was awesome how the Daleks weren't using weapons at all, but merely turning lights on, very clever and fiendish.

I had doubts about the Weeping Angels but I can't wait for that one. Should be a blast.

I'm getting a bit sick of seeing the Daleks every series. Don't get me wrong I love them but I'd like to see them make a new recurring villain instead of relying on the old ones. Granted the Weeping Angels are one of these but there needs to be more.

well.. there're the cybermen.. and.. the master.
..the cybermen are new.. and the master regenerated.. so.. that shall do~

..
Must be personal preference.. I love the daleks.
For me, they're as important to Doctor Who as the tardis or.. the doctor, hur.
I'm sure that "but you all DIED!" is an in-series joke by now.. the last of the daleks.. again.. "right, they're DEFINITELY gone now.. honest."

will miss the rtdish daleks.. but I'm sure these will grow on me.
All brightly coloured and retro futuristic, so that's a bonus.

mm.. just because the daleks are here doesn't mean that there can't be other villains popping up..
..and.. and for those of you truly disappointed by this episode,
why, remember that there are other WWII-era episodes to turn to 8D

Halfwit, are YOU my mommy?
Meh, comparing proper musical careers to the X Factor is like comparing a relationship to a date rape.

Looking forward to 2moz episode the the Weeping Angels...will be interesting to see how the Doctor deals with them :)

You think they will come up with a way to kill the Angels? Or you think they will stick a mirror in front of it and be done lol
