"Look at all this money I swindled from the bank! I feel so proud having earnt it all =3"

I shall say no more on the topic <_<;

HP Ice /is/ tempting...but personally, I'm going to stick with the best IVs I get first time round; after all, I don't have serious hopes in winning the VGC this year =P

Liam

If you were a thief and you rrobbed a bank then you would be proud. :P

RNG is hardly relatable to bank robbing, anyway...

Does sitting down and hatching egg after egg after egg make you more "deserving" of decent IVs than somebody who happens to exploit a loophole in the system? Is there a requirement, target to be hit before you can be allowed to have good IVs come out, or can you not be proud if you hatch a Pokémon with brilliant IVs after two or three hatches? We've all got a choice, whether the IVs are important enough to learn to abuse the coding, whether we want to, but that shouldn't give anybody a right to sit high up on their horse and look down at those who've done it another way. Should you be right to say "I've spent 50hrs hatching this, I'm more deserving of it than you who got it in 10hrs", when the entire process is really down to luck?

Anyway, on a happier note,

Drilbur
Sand Rush / Adamant [+Atk / -SAtk]
28 - 29 / 31 / 31 / 24 / 30 / 26
Earthquake / Swords Dance / Rock Slide / X-Scissor

Was initially disappointed with the Speed, I do have a couple of 31/31/x/x/x/31s that I could use, but it doesn't lose any important outspeeds, other than itself, in a Sandstorm anyway. Perfect for my Battle Tower team.

Yes.

Well...what you're describing is luck. Not exploitation. Sooo yeah you can be proud/think yourself lucky.

If everyone posting here was relying on the ~Process of Luck~, then I might be able to see your point; but we're talking about exploiting the Random Number Generator. Which is not luck. o_o;

^noice~

But yeah, just posting my opinion on the whole RNG thing. I hadn't realised Muhed had ~given permission~ in the first post, so apologies there - but it still doesn't change my opinion on boasting about awesome IVs when the method to obtain them doesn't require nearly as much effort as the more traditional way of breeding.

#469
Treecko - #252 (Timid) Female (♀) : 10 - 11 / 18 - 19 / 16 / 31 / 31 / 31

Possible Hidden Power Types: Ice
Possible Hidden Power Attack Powers: 67

that's the way uhuh I like it. uhuhuh.

Yeah the IVs aren't ~outstanding~ or but given the HP type/power and that the key ones are good, I'm willing to waiver that.

also about RNGingz: i don't frown on it but personally I find it makes the whole game feel less organic.  yes i am aware it is just a game at the end of the day but i feel a lot more i acomplished breeding a good pokemon rather than willing it into existance, and, if you were, a bit more competetive.  yeh sure I RNG legendries and parent dittos but there's still a bit of work in it.

although RNG does take its fair share of skills too, espcially if you want to RNG roaming legendries..

personal perfence and stuff.

Some of my recent breeding success:

Horsea - #116 (Adamant) (♂) Swift Swim: 31 / 31 / 24 / 15 / 31 / 28
Move-set: Rest / Dragon Dance / Waterfall / Outrage

Dratini - #147 (Adamant) (♂) Marvel Scale: 31 / 31 / 25 / 21 / 31 / 29
Move-set: Dragon Dance / Dragon Claw / Roost / Fire Punch

Bronzong - Sassy, Levitate: 31 / 6 / 31 / 3 / 31 / 0
Move-set: Not really sure yet ^^;

Machop - #066 (Jolly) Female (♀) No Guard: 31 / 31 / 19 / 10 / 26 / 31
Move-set: Dynamicpunch / Thunderpunch / Ice Punch / Rock Slide

Ledyba

jolly Machop? don't get me wrong, it' impressive IV wise, but are you planning to use a Jolly Machop? Seems like a big waste to me :S Machamp's speed really can't be redeemed!

It's for my VGC team this year. As you can see, I'm running it with choice scarf, which gets it to 175 speed stat at level 50 with full speed investment. This out-speeds positive base 106 pokemon lacking choice scarf. This combined with full accuracy Dynamicpunch and the surprise factor of a very fast Machamp is very effective. So, yes is the simple answer xD

That Bronzong would be a good dual-screener.

Yes, I agree, I've move setted it with Reflect / Light Screen / Trick Room / Explosion =D

Edit:

Was re-breeding to get a better Tyranitar and this is the happy result:

Larvitar - #246 (Adamant) Male (♂) Guts: 31 / 31 / 31 / 25 / 21 / 31

Edit mark 2:

As most of you I'm sure are aware, the V-create Victini event happened recently and, as I was watching the Victini film, it seemed fitting to start soft re-setting for it. And here is the extremely happy result:

Victini - #494 (Sassy) None (X) Victory Star: 31 / 30 / 12 / 31 / 31 / 2

Would have liked to have Brave nature, but who can complain =D

Specstile

Never Rnged in heartgold so ima go for luck for latios

Wow! that's awesome, nice one.

My lovely Christmas Foongus:

Foongus - #590 (Sassy) [female] : 31 / 31 / 31 / 16 - 17 / 30 / 18 - 19

The speed isn't the best, however, out of trick room I can spore trick roomers before they can do anything to set up. And I've nicknamed her Sprout, because I started her Christmas eve and finished her Christmas morning =D.

Also, merry Christmas everyone!

Spriter

Well, after getting myself a couple of flawless dittos (Timid and Modest ones, too), I bred a couple of Chimchar. Look at this beauty of a breed:

Chimchar - #390 (Timid) Male (♂) : 30 - 31 / 12 - 13 / 6 - 7 / 31 / 27 / 30 - 31

Possible Hidden Power Types: Ice
Possible Hidden Power Attack Powers: 68
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HP Ice was just an amazing bonus too, he'll suck at taking even slight neutral physical attacks, but it is next to perfect really.

And I happen to have another one, with the same HP type:

Chimchar - #390 (Timid) Male (♂) : 31 / 2 / 18 / 31 / 19 / 31

Possible Hidden Power Types: Ice
Possible Hidden Power Attack Powers: 70
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And it happens to have HP Ice 70! Slightly better defense, worse special defense, but pretty similar regardless.

Right, I'll either go for Rotom or something that relies on a good Hidden Power to smack things. What should I try for breeding guys?

Richard and Blaziken

Just a note, you may want to use those Chimchar to breed other stupid monkeys with a Naive nature if it's for competitive. Close Combat can't handle the drop with only base 104 Attack. Which is way lower than Blaziken's. Just saying. :>
