Torchic

Mukdip was my first choice on my first playthrough,  but once I used Torchic, I knew I had found my bro.  So Torchic it is.

(because I never use Treecko and it's statistically the best in RSE as I worked out with the strategy guide when I was 7 xD)
As my friend unfortunately found out a few days ago, that might not be true any more. Treeko supposedly doesn't get a lot of special moves naturally, so he's not great after the physical-special split of gen 4. So I hear anyway.

Personally, I've played through these games with each starter at least once in my life. So I'm not sure what to go with this time. Maybe I'll go with mudkip again, since I think he's the one I first went with in Pokemon Ruby. Ahh, the nostalgia is bringing me waaaay back

IceRain

Never was a big fan of the starters. Actually I could say the same for all starters Pre-Gen 5 :P but I will go with Mudkip cause it's the cutest

My friend and I were guessing about potential Mega Evolutions for those remaining two.  I said that if Mega Sceptile doesn't get a massive attack increase then it's useless.
Gary was here.  Ash is a loser.

Specstile

I hope mega Sceptile will gain a different ability like venusaur because unburden is meh. Also i think nintendo intended him to be physical with dem blades rather than special.

There will probably be another mega blazekin but i'm on the treeckotrain

....unburden on a mega? Just think that one through xD

(Just in case you actually didn't know the mechanics, a mega stone can't be lost and so a mega can never receive the boost from unburden)

Honestly, sceptile still get giga drain, so its not total deadweight. But it doesn't learn it naturally, which is the pain. You have to wait until you find a TM for it, instead of cleaning up in-game.

DisturbedHaxorus

You can't go wrong with a giant bipedal lizard with bladed leaves growing from its forearms. That thing's just plain badass. And I like the moveset possibilities for it better than the other two.

Plus, Treecko was the first one I picked when I first got Sapphire back in '03, so yeah...following that trend.

Always Mudkip. Forever Mudkip. You don't need anything else!  ^.^

Thank's to Blake... for the awesome sig!

I think he was saying he wants something different that isn't unburden cos he doesn't like it, in the same way that mega venusaur get thick fat instead of chlorophyll.

Yeah, I know, I was just saying how it's almost definite he will get a different ability because of Unburdens uselessness

Joe_Pokemon2015- MEGA RAYQUAZA!

Mudkip. Because Mudkip was my starter when I first played Pokémon Emerald, and I will choose Mudkip.

Also, the date of release of Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon AlphaSapphire and OmegaRuby are about 9 years apart. You noticed?

The Shrub Dragon

i will always pick treecko and none of you naysayers can stop me :>

thanks gl <3

Mistral

I chose Torchic when I originally played RSE. Not sure who I'm gonna choose this time. I'm not feeling nubchicken anymore, haha. Maybe Treecko 'cause Grass types are pretty cool. Mudkip just has that double weakness to Grass by the time it becomes Swampert, and I feel like I'd get screwed over a million times that way. :c

Inferna

idk really!
I think when I first got sapphire I picked Treecko so I'll probably go with that again for nostalgia on my first playthrough.
