Has anyone played around with this feature on their iPod before?

When I bought my new iPod yesterday, I discovered the voice activated Siri app and I've had a lot of fun with it.

I've asked Siri a variety of silly questions and have recieved equally silly answers.

Hey, Siri. Who named you?
I don't know, I've just always been called Siri.

Hey, Siri. Can I change your name?
But... everyone just calls me Siri.

Hey, Siri. How old are you?
I'm not supposed to answer that question.

Hey, Siri. Where are you?
Here.

Despite "Here" being the most straight forward and obvious answer, I hoped that Siri would be a bit more creative and unexpected than that.

Hey, Siri. What is the answer to life, the universe and everything?
I'm not sure, but I think there's an app for that.

What the hay? There's an app??

Has Siri ever said anything silly to you before?

I've never spoken to Siri but I do quite like some of the references / Easter Eggs utilised with it over the years

the bread dragon

ive proposed to siri multiple times, robots are heartless

lets all go out for some frosty chocolate milkshakes

im too poor to have an iphone so i have to make do with bootleg siri aka google now
ive never used it except maybe once facetiously to make a reminder to huff my own farts

"What does the fox say?"
"Pa Pa Pa Pa Pa-Pa-Pow!"

"Who let the dogs out?"
"Who who who who who!"

You can shout obscenities at him/her and he/she will just apologise. My favourite thing to do is run Apple Maps and Google Maps at the same time and it sounds like two people having a fight.

Pretty sure that's not what my 5S is made for.

i use a samsung phone because i'm not a huge fan of apple products and i guess it's slightly disappointing that s-voice doesn't have the same humanity siri does

but at the same time, i don't use s-voice anyway.

it's not enough to love the unreal
i am inseparable from the impossible

I think Siri is cool as a novelty, but the amount of friends that I have that use Siri for no reason whatsoever annoy me. For example, I'll be driving my car:

Me: "Hey, can someone get me directions to a Market Basket?"
Friend: "On it. Siri, take me to Market Basket"
Siri: "I didn't quite catch that."
Friend: "SIRI TAKE ME TO MARKET BASKET"
Siri: "I did not quite understand what you said. Finding restaurants near you."

Why not just type it? Why do I need to listen to you get upset at Apple's flimsy AI? We could have been at the grocery store by now, but you seem hellbent on screaming at your phone to teach it a lesson or something.

I don't know. I kind of feel like they may be under the impression that Siri actually works some of the time. Or moving thumbs around a screen is too much physical activity as opposed to speaking.

I'll use Siri to control my music as my car has an aftermarket Bluetooth System rather than a built in one (like Ford's AWESOME Sync system).

But for directions I'll pull over or get the missus to do it. Not worth the hassle. I think it's because Siri doesn't like any background noise whatsoever. Sending a text message whilst driving is an absolute nightmare.

It does get things wrong. It reckons Kevin Bacon was in Footloose.
