Went to bed, put on don't disturb since I couldn't be arsed, woke up to find loads of missed messages and calls from last night. Apparently I've let people down.

-sigh-

uh
i've been to two separate universities and nothing like that happens it isn't high school bc most of the people who'd do that kind of crap are too dumb to go to uni

Inferna

we got told all the usual stuff before we started secondary after the p7s came back from their 3 day visit. Stuff like "the sixth years will put your head down the toilets" etc and the stories about certain teachers, some were true though! We were all terrified of 'Rambo' and 'flower power'. One of the best teachers was one of the history ones, he used to let you out early for lunch if you were a Celtic fan and all of the rangers fans had to wait another 5 minutes   8)
There was always that one kid who's name preceded them in each year as well.
I remember for some reason in the cdt workshops there was one of those body outlines on the floor (I have no idea why) but the teachers used to say it was because "wee chris in first year got his arm cut off by the bandsaw and collapsed and died right in this very spot!"

I'm so hungover today oops

Spriter

sad but sometimes true.

Not able to actually write any further in this story, dammit. At least I have a couple thousands words down already though.

Kerou 犠牲

That kind of stuff can happen at University. All kinds of stuff happens at Uni.

When you're a bookworm but you still live with your parents so a trip to the book shop is actually referred to as "being very naughty"

Come down to London Soho's bookshops and you may very well find that phrase true.

Season 1 of American Horror Story was really good but Season 2 started to lose me and now I can't get into Season 3 because witches are pretty lame.

You'd be surprised what kind of morons they let into universities. There were people determined to be the 'popular' people on campus and some blocks of accommodation (Mostly the ones where people did PE degrees) were determined to get some sort of reputation.

QuoteAre we actually going to be receiving beatings in uni? I've always imagined the uni peeps to be from sheltered middle-class families.

Not everyone that goes to uni is sheltered. Depends on where you go. The ones I went to were former polytechnics where anybody that did a PE degree thought they were a 'lad' and the most you'll get is an 'initiation' which usually involves some sort of shot drinking for 'bantz'. I ended up with a fun bunch of people that just wanted to play Football Manager all day.

Second and third years tend to live elsewhere/off campus so you won't get your head kicked in. It's a uni. It's more grown up than school.

that's not sport related degrees Milsap, just those within the sport social circles (like playing in the football, or rugby teams or being associated with them). Quite a lot of them won't do a sporting degree.

I got sinusitis and the boss won't let me come in and work.

It's not like I was saving my sick days for vacation or anything. Thanks sinuses.
