Magnagates - Share your pictures of round things here

I'm thinking about playing Gates to infinity again. I haven't played it in absolutely ages.

When scanning round objects to create Magnagates, there must be a system which determines the layout and content of a dungeon.

Has anyone managed to work out exactly how it works?

It would be nice if we could share images of round things here. I'm not sure if a 3DS can scan images shown on a pc screen though.

What objects have you been able to successfully scan and create Magnagates with?

Edit: As it turns out, you actually can scan images on a pc screen.
